The F4001 series sports generously sized knobs and buttons, which can be accessed even while wearing gloves. The internal VOX capability of the radio makes it a perfect hands-free device. The plug adapter cord OPC-2004 allows use with compatible headsets. The priority scan function facilitates monitoring of one or two priority channels. While scanning you can make a quick response with the Tx channel and talk back feature.
The radio features convenient functions, such as 2-tone and 5-tone signaling, providing selective calling, quiet stand-by function, stun function to disable radio on-air, and revive function to resume radio operation.
The F4001 series features rugged housing, which is dust-proof and waterproof, made to withstand rough wear and tear in harsh conditions. The highly efficient FET of the F4001 reduces power consumption. Operated with a BP-264 battery it can continuously run for 14 hours, or when paired with a BP-265 battery, get up to 40 hours continuously use.
