Kenwood's UBZ-LH14 can be used straight out of the box. Since it's classified as an FRS (Family Radio Service) no license is needed! Whether you're driving, shopping, sightseeing, or skiing, this compact FM transceiver is the perfect choice for communications convenience. Available in black and yellow - the FreeTalk has the new Auto Channel Select to search out and lock onto a vacant channel. The big LCD display has indicators for low battery, busy channel and even four ring tones for noisy places. Battery saving features, many options and more make this the perfect personal radio.
Range is approx 1 to 2 miles, depending on terrain and conditions. With a 38 hour standby time using 3AA batteries (not included) this radio will keep you talking. This unit has the power output of 0.5 watt. with 14 channel/38 codes.
