Revo NC2 features unprecedented noise canceling capabilities and user friendly features, making it ideal for daily use in applications in public safety, industrial environments, and rugged high noise conditions. The Revo series uses passive noise canceling, which works well with all types of two way radios including the newest digital radios that employ electronic noise canceling technology in their design.
Noise canceling mic elements pick up sounds from the front and back of the microphone. By reversing the electrical polarity of the two sides, ambient noise can be canceled out. Sound coming from only one side—namely, a speaking voice—will pass through. In addition, the noise canceling mic elements used by OTTO have a cardioid response pattern which rejects sound from the sides of the speaker mic. These mics work well in high noise environments where loud background noise would drown out the voice when using a conventional speaker mic.
