Product Description

Kenwood NX-1300DUBK2 DMR/Analog UHF Two-Way Radio

The Kenwood NX-1300DUBK2 is a professional UHF portable two-way radio designed for organizations that need both DMR Tier II digital and conventional analog communications in one radio. Operating from 450-520 MHz with up to 5 watts RF output, the standard keypad model provides a high-contrast backlit LCD, up to 260 channels, flexible scan functions, and durable IP54/55 construction.

Because digital and analog channels can be programmed into the same radio, the NX-1300DUBK2 is well suited for organizations transitioning from an existing analog system to DMR without replacing every radio at once.

Key Features

  • 450-520 MHz UHF operation
  • DMR Tier II digital and FM analog operation
  • Up to 5 watts RF output power
  • Up to 260 channels and 128 zones
  • High-contrast white-backlit LCD
  • Standard keypad configuration
  • Large 7-color top-panel LED indicator
  • Digital and analog mixed-mode operation
  • Site roaming for compatible DMR systems
  • Group and individual calling
  • Multiple scan modes
  • Voice announcement and battery-level indication
  • Emergency and Lone Worker functions
  • IP54/IP55 dust and water protection when properly configured
  • MIL-STD-810 C/D/E/F/G environmental testing
  • KENWOOD 2-pin audio accessory connection

DMR Digital and Analog Operation

The NX-1300DUBK2 supports DMR Tier II conventional operation using two-slot TDMA technology in a 12.5 kHz channel. DMR functions include group and individual calls, site roaming, DMR Auto Slot Select, Dual Slot Direct Mode, call interruption, status and short-data functions, paging calls, Late Entry, and Over-the-Air Alias.

For organizations continuing to use conventional analog channels, the radio also supports FM operation with features including QT/DQT signaling, DTMF, 2-tone signaling, FleetSync, MDC-1200 functions, programmable voice inversion scrambling, and per-channel companding.

Designed for Analog-to-Digital Migration

Organizations do not necessarily need to migrate an entire fleet to digital at one time. The NX-1300DUBK2 can be programmed with both analog and DMR channels, allowing existing analog communications to remain available while new digital channels are introduced.

Compatibility depends on the frequency, channel bandwidth, DMR parameters, color code, time slot, talkgroup configuration, and other programming used by the existing system. Programming should be matched to the system before deployment.

Clear Audio and Operator Feedback

KENWOOD provides a 1-watt internal speaker along with configurable transmit and receive audio processing. Audio settings include selectable equalizer profiles, automatic gain control, noise suppression, and microphone-type settings.

A large 7-color LED on the top panel provides easily visible radio status indications, while the LCD and keypad give users direct access to programmed functions and channel information.

Common Applications

  • Manufacturing and industrial facilities
  • Warehouses and distribution centers
  • Schools and campus operations
  • Hospitality and property management
  • Security departments
  • Construction and field operations
  • Transportation and fleet operations
  • Utilities and maintenance teams
  • Municipal and public-works departments

The NX-1300 platform supports a range of KENWOOD batteries, chargers, antennas, speaker microphones, headsets, and carrying accessories. Examples documented by KENWOOD include KNB-45L and KNB-69L lithium-ion batteries, KSC-35S and KSC-43 chargers, KRA-27 UHF antenna, KBH-10 belt clip, KMC-45D speaker microphone, and selected KENWOOD 2-pin audio accessories.

Accessory compatibility should be confirmed for the exact radio configuration before purchasing replacement batteries, charging systems, intrinsically safe accessories, or specialized audio equipment.

Programming

HiTech Wireless programming is available for this radio. Basic programming includes standard features and up to 16 channels. More complex programming requirements may require a custom quote.

To correctly match an existing DMR or analog system, provide complete programming information including frequencies, transmit and receive parameters, DMR color codes, time slots, talkgroups, signaling settings, and any other required system information.

Customers may also provide an existing compatible radio for cloning when appropriate. Programming profiles may be retained for future orders.

Who Should Choose the NX-1300DUBK2?

This model is especially useful when a full keypad and display are important for operators who need access to multiple channels, zones, contacts, scan functions, or programmable features. Organizations that only need a small number of channels and simple push-to-talk operation may prefer a basic non-display model.

Why Buy from HiTech Wireless?

  • Commercial two-way radio specialists
  • Programming assistance for new and existing systems
  • Support for fleet deployments and multi-radio purchases
  • Accessory and compatibility guidance
  • Volume purchasing assistance and quote support
