Ritron RQX-117M MURS VHF Analog Callbox

The Ritron RQX-117M gives visitors, drivers and employees a fixed location to contact personnel carrying compatible MURS two-way radios. Use this single-channel analog callbox at delivery docks, gated entrances, maintenance areas and other locations where staff need a direct radio connection.

Power and Installation

Operate the callbox with three D-cell alkaline batteries or an optional external power supply. Batteries and the external AC adapter are sold separately. Up to 2 watts of transmit power requires external 12 VDC power; battery operation uses reduced transmit power. Enable automatic turn-off for battery-only installations. Use external power when continuous receive availability is needed.

Battery operation avoids running a power cable to the callbox. Gate control, sensor connections and external power require appropriate wiring. Radio coverage depends on installation height, terrain and obstructions.

Radio Compatibility and Programming

Use with compatible analog MURS radios configured for the same frequency, bandwidth and CTCSS/DCS settings. The RQX-117M operates on one programmed channel selected from the five MURS frequencies: 151.820, 151.880, 151.940, 154.570 or 154.600 MHz. UHF radios and digital-only radio modes cannot communicate directly with this model.

Selected settings can be programmed in the field; additional configuration requires compatible Ritron PC programming tools. Remote relay control also requires a radio capable of transmitting the configured control signal.
