The DMR Series is a purpose-built, ground-up radio design, not a portable radio in a box. Deploys easily — no wires, no trenching, no construction required. Can be used standalone using alkaline batteries and the “auto turn-off” feature, which works to conserve battery life or it can be powered externally for “always on” applications using an external AC adapter
